America is addicted to rapid population growth. City officials, business and the media love to promote Cities that are growing like crazy and ignore the negative results of this growth. I see many high growth metro areas in America becoming like Third World mega cities- like Mexico City. They do not have the infrastructure to support so many new residents. 900,000 new residents in Atlanta in the last 6 years, that is scary.

And where do you suggest these people move Dingler? The US chooses not to properly plan for and support population growth in her urban centers and encourages people to continue to move further and further out into exburbs (while the cities and inner ring burbs continue to decay) as part of our current political and social policy, making metro areas huge and unsustainable (large sprawling metro areas will eventually come back to bite us in the rear, I'm convinced of it).
