Largest concentrations are found throughout Minnesota, Iowa and the Dakotas. In North Dakota there are many families/businesses with strong Swedish heritage.

I know there are a lot of little Swedish towns around Iowa where I'm from, but by far the largest concentrations are in Northern Minnesota, Northern Wisonsin and North Dakota.

There are also pretty high numbers in Kansas and Iowa, and some smaller pockets around southwestern New York State/Northern Penn.
Where did you find this map? I'd like to be able to take a closer look at the counties that contain a higher concentration of Swedish immigrants and descendants.

Lots of Swedes settled in Brooklyn in the early 20th century, too. Don't know where they are today, probably the burbs.

That's probably people from Northern Sweden, where it's cold and snowy for 6 months.

The climate of Central and Southern Sweden has beautiful, warm & sunny summers and cold winter (similar to NYC's winter).

And YES, Southern + Central Sweden has by far more sunshine, dryer and better weather than Seattle Area.

Are you serious? New Jersey/New York City area has among the most beautiful weather in the U.S.

We have Cold winters, not as snowy and cold as Midwest and New England, although it's not cold every day (Some days 50s and 60s).
We have cool to very warm spring and fall with low humidity.
We have very warm to hot and humid summers (I hate humidity), but it's not humid every single day during the summer.
We have PLENTY of sunshine throughout the year, and moderate rainfall throughout the year.
