Manhattan is one big SHOPPING MALL. Stop trying to fit your small town mentality into the greatest city in the world. I was walikng around this City before you were even BORN. My great-grandfather helped built the Flatirons Buildings. My family goes back in NYC to the 19th Century.

Manhattan AIN'T FLORIDA. I find this INSULTING as a native New Yorker; MANHATTANITE.

There aren't shopping centers like you think in NYC. There are a few I know of here in Queens, but no churches in them.

I'm waiting for you to show me a picture of a sign that says "Welcome to _____ shopping center" with the stores displayed in the sign; one of which is a church.

So The Bronx is small town now?

The link I provided was to an excerpt from a book that is about The Bronx. They have it right there in black and white for you that the church was in the shopping center (which is also known as a shopping mall).

I don't know why you are bringing up Florida since I never mentioned it.

Go to google maps street view. Type in Co-op city blvd. & Rombouts ave. You will see a sign for some mini shopping mall, and a church ACROSS the street; NOT IN the shopping mall. Good try though. You're really stretching to find something now, aren't you? lol. You know you're wrong.

I generally like where I live but ....

10. Winter. It can get really, absurdly cold.
9. The often theatrical corruption of our politicians (did you hear? they just came across a picture of Al Capone with then Mayor William "Big Bill" Thompson, not much has changed)
8. The CTA (public transportation system) is constantly threatening some various version of doomsday in which it threatens to almost completely shut down.
7. Our mayor is a bit of a dictator who likes to bulldoze airports in the middle of the night and sell parts of the city off to the highest bidder
6. Too far from the ocean (I like the ocean)
5. Crime is too high
4. Taxes are too high
3. Drunk Bears fans (really, there is a reason an SNL skit was created just to make fun of you, they aren't laughing with you, they are laughing AT you)
2. Potholes
1. The inexcusable decay of certain neighborhoods.

The church was in the shopping center for 23 years.

I know you read in the link that it was in the shopping center otherwise you would not have know what streets it was on.

Not stretching at all and definitely not wrong. Why not post the line I mentioned about it being IN the shopping center and then tell me I am wrong.

Maybe it was in 1970 but obviously not today by looking at google maps. Take a look yourself. The Bronx is one of the most changed places in the country, lol. Nearly 70% of the Bronx got burned down in the 70s.

These are NEIGHBORHOODS. Neighborhoods in NYC, all the boroughs, have churches, apartment buildings, stores, even on ONE STREET. They are not MALLS.

Kings Plaza, Queens Center, etc., ARE Malls in NYC. They have big department stores, multiple smaller stores, restaurants, etc., and a big PARKING LOT for cars. That is the DEFINITION of a mall There are no CHURCHES inside any of these places.

Manhattan does not have "malls".
