Ethanol could easily be imported from Brazil, which uses sugar cane for ethanol production. It has been proven to be much more efficient than the corn based ethanol.

Not to mention Brazil has been using it for years now in their vehicles, making them energy self-sufficient. However a very high tarriff imposed on Brazil's ethanol keeps it away from our shores, and the mid-west congressmen who's constituents produce that corn ethanol very happy. Bush refuses to lift the tarriff.

They should put some up in LA and other California cities so at least some smog can go away.

There's a ton of them in Iowa. There's even a few in small town (less than 2000 population).
