I chose "bus" but probably should have picked "combination."

I walk 5 minutes to the stop. Ride the bus for 5 more minutes. Then walk 10 minutes from the station to the office.

In big cities like NYC, Philly, DC many people go by subways. However if it's in the country by car. Hence, I go by car to work.

Subway to DT San Francisco takes about 30 mins.

OTOH, if Im working in Mountain View or Palo Alto it takes about an hour to drive down there and 2 hrs to drive back in the evening.

I drive 100 miles round trip each day to work and back. Expressway driving during off hours so it's only 1 hour each way. Work 1 day per week from home.
