Hi all, I was wondering if there were any areas of the US where people say God bless instead of good bye.

I am looking for kind of specific areas (not just the "southeast")

Thanks in advance!

I've heard people say "Godspeed" in lieu of Goodbye, but not "God Bless"...although didn't Red Skelton say "God Bless" at the end of his show?

I've met individuals who have done that. Very churchy folks in a churchy setting.

Anywhere in the South-Central (Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas). Technically these states lean harder towards Evangelicalism than even the states of the Southeast.

God bless seems like more of a way to say good-bye than hello. I have said it on the phone.

However I have heard 'blessaa' when in the act of dap-giving.
