I love to bike! I'm not into lots of steep trails though, have older knees.

Just visited Philadelphia area and went on a couple of great bike rides--Valley Forge and along the Perkiomen Creek to Schwenksville. Gorgeous trail!!

What about your town? Does it have some neat trails, too? Away from traffic? Trails that go along rivers or creeks, through woods or forests? Rails to trails?

Love to hear about your favorite rides and trails in your neck of the woods...

Thanks,

LittleDolphin aka The Happy Pedaler

In Rochester, for road riding there are a couple of paved trails that go along the Erie Canal and Genesee River which are scenic. For trail riding there is a park that is on the edge of the city/beginning of suburbs that is great. Steep hills, very technical trails. Lots of obstacles. For the advanced rider. Its a park that the city kinda forgot about so the mountain bikers built lots of interesting trails and obstacles. You go in through a city neighborhood but the trails can take you along an outlet to Lake Ontario which is very scenic.

Louisville KY has a nice 40 mile trail along the Ohio River. The only changes in elevation are when the trail raise atop the flood wall every now and then, but most of it is very flat

Louisville Loop - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There's also a nice trail along the Little Miami River in the Cincinnati area
Little Miami Scenic Trail - Springfield to Milford, Ohio

I often take the Minuteman Trail when riding my bike around the Metrowest Boston area. It's not overly scenic, but there is a pond along the trail and you don't have to worry about traffic. It's built on a stretch of old railroad and goes through several towns.
