Default Working vacations -- amusement parks, etc.

So, I'm just thinking about places like amusement parks, ski resorts, national parks, and the like are always hiring for large numbers of people in season. Some provide a place to live, usually a dorm or shared apartment at a greatly reduced cost. I've done this once, and had a mixed experience, I just wondered if anyone had some info to share on where you worked/lived and what it was like...

Many years ago, right after High School, I spent a year working and living in Yosemite NP. Overall I had a great time, since you could hardly find a better way to live completely independently at age 18. The summer was a blast -- mostly college kids working up there and tons of outdoor rec to do on days off. The winter got a little weird though. It's a pretty offbeat crowd working up there year round. The other drawback is the living conditions. Having my own without-bath little cabin to share with a roommate seemed great at age 18, but would probably be a real challenge for anyone over the age of 25.
