Wouldn't work in Atlanta. VERY rare they will stop if you hail them. Most of the time you have to call or catch one parked in front of a hotel or rail station (or airport).

The place has to be very dense because its not even in all of New York City they stay in Manhattan and never go to the other four boroughs which are less dense, the other four boroughs have like zero taxis unless they're coming from Manhattan so the contestants who lose would be inconvenienced. It could work outside of Manhattan but only in a city's dense downtown area.

I'd say DC, SF, and Chicago for sure. In NYC they only do it in a part of Manhattan anyway. There's plenty of cabs in the downtown area's of those cities as well.

The New York Cash Cab I driver is wearing an ear piece and being told what questions to ask...everything I do is spontaneous.

I love having fun with my passsengs and making them happy...it's good for tips$$$$$$ I work the streets and have written 3 funny books about stories I get driving around...real stories from the streets. Sample stories are on my website.

San Francisco? I remember cabs being pretty plentiful there; however, it IS condensed into a smaller-sized city than NY. But I still think it couild fly there better than L.A., which is way too sprawled.

Anyone else's opinions on this?

I think everyone of those people that get in that cab, were already screened before the taping of the show.

San Francisco could work. Downtown SF and a few of the busiest surrounding neighborhoods are certainly the same size as lower Manhattan, and there are always tons of cabs in that part of SF.

I lived in Astoria and saw them all the time. You could stand on Astoria blvd or Ditmars Blvd and hail them.

It would work in DC and most of Miami, at least the parts where tourist would be going. Miami has a large number of cabs and most are all in the same areas. Very easy to hail a cab in Miami Beach, Downtown, Coconut Grove areas.
