Show us a vintage post card of your home town. This is where I went to school grades 1-6.

(Hint: Go to google, click "images", then enter /postcard xxx/ (inserting the name of your home town. Find an image, save it to your desktop, then below the reply box, click advanced, attach files, and enter the file name of your file.)

Interesting thread idea! I actually found a website that had a ton of them. Here are some of Lubbock:

This is the surrounding countryside.

This is a park in in the city.

Neither of these buildings are standing today sadly.

This is what the high school that I go to looked like when it was brand new. There isn't a park surrounding it anymore.

Cool idea for a thread.

Here is the school I went to 6th and 7th grade in. This photo was taken before 1911 because they added wings on both sides that year. They moved us into a new building in 1976.

The hospital I was born at. It is now an apartment building.

The Car-ferry docks in Ludington, MI. There is still one car-ferry operating out of Ludington and it is the last coal fired passenger ship on the Great Lakes.

These are the boats that were still in operation when I was a kid back in the 70's.

Bloomington, MN - spent years 0 - 19 here and lived close enough to "The Met" that you could see the glow from the lights. Went to many games and it was always fun to "sneak-in". Basically grew up here and would stay after the games and wait for them to turn off the lights. We would bounce around on the batting cage/net (seen behind the scoreboard in this post card) like a trampoline. Man them ushers hated seeing us lurking about
