I want to move, in the next couple of years, and I have, obviously, many options, and I'm open to many places, and so I'd just like to know where some of you live and your opinions on the location, and any advice you'd have for a person new to that area.

id recommend moving to the beautiful state of maine,,,we are one of the safest states to live, ,,and very peaceful, much wildlife...plenty of outdoor recreation..
we have mountains, many lakes and a long coastline, and much of our real estate is relatively cheap compared to other states/cities.

i dont think i could live in the big city, ive been spoiled,

in the town i live in,,i havent heard of a crime taken place in the 15 yrs ive been here,,i dont lock my doors,,and leave keys in my cars,,without fear of being stolen....if my car breaks down on the highway, im not leary of who may pull over to help,,,
from any city in maine i can drive 5 minutes and be in the country,,,wide open natural places,,,
id be nuerotic if i lived in a big city..
but im always amazed at the architecture,,,, of the huge buildings,

Heck it's been 45 to 50 above at my house for the last 2 weeks! That ain't cold! And when it does get cold...it's nothing a little fire and a shot of blackberry brandy can't fix! And keep in mind it's not humid cold...so it does not go to the bone!

Well i have no idea were you live now so i'll just skim over a few points for you to keep in mind

If you now live in the north don't go south since they don't like yankees

If you live in the south don't go north since they won't understand a thing your saying

If you don't like bugs well your screwed

If you live in ca your screwed since no one likes ca people

A lot of states don't like newcomers so change car plates right away when you get to the new place

If your color blind ask for help picking out a red or blue state

Check the which state has the ugliest people thread before making a move

Never venture into the p&oc section for info as you may never get back out alive

If all else fails just move that lil mouse over into the other topics and say screw movin
