Uh oh. I try to catch myself not to say it like that.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.
And yes, I'm from SW FL, so it was dead on for me. But no, I'm not in TV or radio!

I say it like hor-ible (or the hor-i-ble). That's the right way though. You can always tag a Northeasterner by the way they say horrible and Flour-da.

The appropriate one. I suppose though I didn't stand a chance here in the Coosa Valley.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: Philadelphia
Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard.
Result Breakdown:
87% Philadelphia
75% The Midland
73% The South
73% The Northeast
56% The Inland North
25% Boston
14% The West
0% North Central

Interesting to say the least. Does NOLA and Philly sound that much alike???

Odd. I got "The Midland," despite the fact that I have lived my entire life in a small town in Northern CA, and my parents spent their entire lives in a small town in CA, and their parents spent all of their lives in small towns in Northern CA (mostly). I have no idea why I would get anything but "The West."

I came out as Inland North. Makes sense because I have an accent that sounds similar. The irony is that I have lived in the South the majority of my life. I have no southern accent interestingly.

This was funny. I didn't think it would work, but it told me I have a Boston accent. Even though I don't have a Boston accent in the dropping of the r on most words, I think the question on the marry-Mary-merry did me in. They are all different.

I took the quiz again and took my time and now it says I have a Southern accent, which is more accurate than the Midland accent it said I had before.
