Thanks for catching the spelling!

Remember, America was not always friendly and not always a superpower!
We used to be part of the British Empire and we mooched off them for protection!
In the past, Canada sent a lot of boys off to colonial scraps while America did its own thing. We were hardly isolationists. Being part of an empire is heady stuff!

They are more liberal but that comes from a naivete born of isolation (just as in the far northern states) and not having to pay for their defense.

I'm just curious...defence from whom?!US it's the only Canadian neighbor!Remember that US paying about 10 billions per year to foreign countries (military and economical aid). For example, US paying 3 billion to Israel and same time 1.6 billion to Egypt... also significant amount to Jordan....
Canada doesn't do it (at least in such amounts)

Canada doesn't do it (at least in such amounts)

In all fairness, Canada provides support to the US military in many missions. Also, Canada provides more per capita to international humanitarian aid than the US.
