I have no clue why but I have a huge beef with ATL. I have no explanation as to why though.

Tampa seems very beautiful, but is it actually urban or at least feel like a large metro?

San Antonio makes me mad for some reason too.

Albuquerque screams "boring!" IMO.

Vegas is a suburb surrounding a tourist destination.

I do like Tampa as a suggestion though.

Albuquerque is warm but our average high temperatures even in the hottest month are barely above 90. We might get 7-10 days of circa 100 in the hottest of years (and it has been almost a decade since we have had a heat wave like that).

Also, definitely not 'urban' enough for what you describe, thus boring ;-)
