Snow in winter is wonderful, you don't realize what you're missing. Granted, TOO much snow isn't good, but snowy weather is wonderful. I much prefer it to rain. And I say this as someone who loves the Coachella Valley and the desert. If/when I ever move to the desert, the one thing I'll miss is the snow. I won't miss the freezing cold (as when it is too cold even to snow) or the cold and rainy weather or the humidity, but I will miss the nice 6-10 inch snowfalls.

Fresh powder snow on the slopes equal euphoria in NH. We had about 90 inches last winter and much of it was great powdery snow. The snow in late Fall and early Spring is more slushy, however.
