Maryland. A state where it gets cold in the winter -- tolerable, but not frigid. Where the sun still shines on most days. A state where it snows some, but not a whole lot every other day. A state where winter last about 3 months.

Depends on what you like to do. Ski - Colorado or Utah, with CA hot on their heels, Snowmobile - Maine or Michigan. Go to the beach - South Florida or way down in Texas, Jog outside - Middle states like Mississippi, Alabama, or that area. Me personally I like Michigan winters as well as the Summers. Not too much snow and not too cold, but enough to have small ski hills, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, sledding with the kids, etc....

I'll go with Georgia. Very mild, but not as warm as Florida. Too warm, and it stops feeling like winter at all.

Southern California, especially the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs) area.
But, then, I could live my life without winter altogether.
