We only like meat we can pronounce
The Foie Gras ban is the silliest thing to come out of city council since Natarus' motion to put diapers on horses.

For beef, I'd say take your pick in Texas. The Hill Country is supposed to have some wonderful independent BBQ places. Alpine is supposed to have wonderful BBQ. YUM!

Milwaukee
Milwaukee...an underrated great U.S. metro area known for its cholesterol-raising beauties.
If you like meat, there is likely no way you'd turn down a brat grilled on an open Milwaukee summer day, and wash 'er down with a frosty Milwaukee micro-brew.
Don't forget also that as America's Dairyland, there is plenty of beef available which translates into great steaks, chops, etc.
