You have the story all wrong. That's how Burt and Ned got into acting. The hillbillies filmed the whole thing and sent it to a porn studio in Hollywood. The hillbillies all got rich and bought prize pigs with their money. Ned and Burt just walked it off.
Ned's walk was a little lopsided though.

Basically, what is the violent crime rate of Letcher County, KY versus midwestern cities. Not even close. And don't split hairs with "per capita" statistics. Bottom line is how many people were attacked in one neighborhood in Gary, IN last year and how many were attacked in Monroe County, WV.
Some hillbillies might have some criminal activity going on, but they generally mind their own business. Ghetto gangsters are predators, looking for victims. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE.
The ghetto, I think between the 2 ghetto people would have a higher IQ vs a hillbilly, therefore you could reason with them easier.

I'm from the the ghetto so I know what to expect there, but the only thing I know about hillbilly areas is what I hear on TV, I don't know if its all true or not

I'm thinking most people here, me included, have only experience with one or the other. Therefore we might just be working on stereotypes or statistics for the one we don't know.
A few people have said they've experienced both "hillbilly" areas and ghettos. Hopefully more such people will speak because I think their opinion is the most valuable as it's the least ignorant. I am not inflating myself with that statement as I'm ignorant of "the ghetto.
In the news today from West Palm Beach housing projects: "The trial has been filled with horrific details of how 10 masked, gun-toting teens repeatedly raped the woman, beat her then 12-year-old son and forced the mother to perform oral sex on her own boy, before dousing the pair with chemicals in an effort to clean the crime scene." See, hillbillies can be perverse, but don't usually band together in predatory gangs like this. True, West Virginia did have an unfortunate, barbaric incident near Chapmanville a year or two ago where an black lady was tortured, but that's one case in - what? - 50 years? 75 years? Who knows?
Besides, there are racist whites in Boston for that matter. I define hillbilly as a person of European descent living in or from rural Appalachia, the Ozarks, or the Rockies. Hence "hill".

Well those who are very hillbilly tend to be racists, and dress very differently from you. A place maybe ghetto but not automatically they are going to attack you. If you leave them alone more than likely they will leave you alone.
Even the really racist hillbillies I've known don't go around just attacking black people.
The worst "hillbilly" my parents knew raped his daughters, shot at people who tried to go on "his land" (really it was our land, he just claimed it and my folks couldn't get rid of him.), and ultimately killed himself. He was a complete slime/wacko but even he, so far as I know, did not go out of his way to attack black people or anything. The most racist hillbillies I knew just didn't want to have anything to do with blacks. So they might give you dirty looks, or make it clear they want you to leave, but they generally won't attack you.
And I'm not defending their racism, which is disgusting and it does still exist. I'm just saying if the standard is "the ghetto kids aren't automatically going to attack you" than that's true of hillbillies as well. Except maybe the insane ones, but I'm sure the ghetto has insane people too. Or at least I'd be very surprised if it didn't.
