i'm looking for anywhere where you can rent a 1br apartment, or a small house for $300-$350. i know that many small towns don't have apartments, but have houses for rent. and any sized town is ok with me.

please tell me any places you know in the US that have places to live that are that inexpensive.

Anywhere in North Dakota. You can rent a 1 bed for $200/month or less.

^^WOW, that's cheap. You can't get a 1 bedroom where I live any cheaper than $1200/month.

Since when is Detroit on Lake Erie?

Actually, Detroit would be a place to look into, so long as you don't need an exceptionally safe area. There actually ARE nice parts of Detroit (Wayne State area, Palmer Park, Indian Village, Boston Edison).

Yeah same here. Honestly even in much cheaper GA $300 won't get you much.
