Hi everyone, My 2 friends and I all live in Johnstown, Pa... And well it's horrible. We've lived here our whole lives and there's no job market, it's boring and ugly, the weather is nasty (hate snow/cold). All in all its depressing and a dying town.
We place to move in July to somewhere nice and warm, good job market and outlook, somewhere by a decent college, affordable cost of living, and somewhere that actually has stuff to do! The 3 of us will be splitting rent, any ideas?
FYI some of the places we were thinking are Phoenix or Scottsdale AZ, Sacramento CA, Miami FL.
Go to a place that has decent education. Miami schools are horrid.
Unless they are going to either most suburbs or enroll the kids in a private school, every inner city in America generally has bad public schools (including NYC) although there are a few exceptions in most cities

So NOVA University and U of M are horrid schools now?
Anything to base this on?
Don't say that you know because you are a teacher because that one has been blown out of the water already.
In response to the OP. the area around NOVA is very nice and it puts you close to Miami and Ft.Lauderdale yet far enough away to keep cost down somewhat. I don't know how it will compare cost wise to the other 2 areas mentioned but it is not an expensive area.
Job market is going to be key in any of the areas you are looking at.
