What sized metro do you live in?
Petite (Less than 500,000)
Small (Less than 1,000,000)
Medium (1,000,000- 3,000,000)
Large (3,000,000+)
Enormous (5,000,000+)

Enormous
12,900,000 in the MSA
17,750,000 in the CSA
If it was a state, the MSA would be the 5th largest, slightly larger than Illinois and smaller than Florida.

I don't live in a city big enough to be called a metro area. My city has less than 10,000 people.

It's something in between the two. Home lots are often small which is normal for the west coast. We have more than one main street situation. Highway 101 goes through town which has some business along it. You can see the Bay from there. There are 2 busy business streets that cut up from highway 101. One of the streets has a small mall on it and the other has shoping centers.
Another city ajoins mine but it's a small city too. It's small city living by the coast.

The metro is close to 550K, but it certainly doesn't feel like it. I picked petite.
