i did a thread like this before and got nothing so i figure ill ask about the towns istead of the people. im looking for the conservative towns with the village stores without them being so squished together or anything like that. kind of like the place on south park but without the "south park" element to it. not rural more suburban with the clone houses for miles. i dont want no drug problems, robbery problems, bad part of town, no surenos, crips, bloods nothin, a place where people wear jerseys because its game day and they are a fan. please let me know and pictures to help to.

You can go to the AMish town in PA. This is the most old fashion you can get lol. They do not even use cars there. Just Horses.

Hmm Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming are pretty conservative as well as quite Republican. Those three also seem to have a low number of Wal-Mart stores and malls per-capita so maybe they'll have "village stores." Of the three Idaho seems the lowest in "property plus violent" crime.

EPodunk lists Spring City, Utah as historic and Lusk, Wyoming as a "hometown." (I'm not linking to ePodunk as they might be deemed a rival) Both sound too small for you. Going by what you've said maybe something in the Idaho Falls, Provo-Orem, or Cheyenne metro-areas.

I'm actually not really sure what to recommend. For one how important is "not rural" to you? Because I think the most old-fashioned towns will be a bit rural. For another I'm not very well-traveled.

Pennsylvania has many towns that fit your description; but it has been a while since I lived there and cannot give you accurate/current information.

North Carolina is chock full of towns like this...lots of 'Mayberries' there. Here's an example:

Seems to me every rural area I've lived in fit the bill...with one small exception...the drug thing, particularly meth and of course, pot.

I think that's an issue everywhere, BUT, again, in the rural places it isn't in your face and stays, well, underground.

Of course, that's the rural thing you say you don't want.

Every suburb type place I've lived in has had issues with at least some of what you mentioned...

If it's a morality issue Iowa, Nebraska, and North Dakota were listed low on the, admittedly tongue-partly-in-cheek, "deadly sins" map.

American Vice: Mapping the 7 Deadly Sins

Bismarck, North Dakota seems to be in a conservative county. Scottsbluff, Nebraska isn't a suburb, but is big enough to be a "micropolitan area."

Anyway good luck with Idaho Falls or wherever
