People like to swear up and down that Pittsburgh doesn't have ghettos so I only posted the bad because you've already seen the good.

If you guys have any info about the places you are linking us to that would be cool too.

Englewood, likely Chicago's worst neighborhood. It doesn't look as bad as a lot of these other spots but I doubt any of those ever registered a murder rate of over 400/100,000. Also Derrick Rose's home I believe.

Street view seems scared by some the ghettos.
They don't drive through Camden or East St. Louis.

I tried looking for a bad area of Newark, but the neighborhoods are pretty well made believe it or not to fool you.
but here's some ugly in a bad area of Newark.. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...99.05,,0,-0.91
Here's some good areas in the area

Default The 'beast' that is rural poverty

We focus very often on urban blight in this country. Moving to a predominately rural state, and living near the Mexican border has exposed me to a different kind of poverty. This street view photo does not convey the true squalor.

mckinley street, anthony new mexico - Google Maps

There is more similarity in a neighborhood such as this one to a shanty area of Mexico than there is to the United States. Anthony New Mexico has only 7,000 people. I'd say half of those people live under the USA poverty line. There are several active gangs in small villages such as these down the Rio Grande Valley.
