Id have to agree too, I LOVE a good snowstorm, its alot of fun to hop in the car and take some friends along for a nice drift session. Then there is sledding, snowmobiling, skiing, etc... winter rocks. Shoveling is a bit of a pain though...

SUNBLOCK, gizmo, SUNBLOCK! LOL

Tropics in the winter, Scranton in the Spring-Summer-Fall. How's that? I do miss lilacs and violets in the Spring sometimes, and crisp Autumn days... My bones are too old now for the snow, but I do have fond memories of Trick or Treating in an early snow in Eastern Washington as a child.

(Actually I no longer live in San Felipe, just thought I'd throw those pics in. I'm actually further south now, REALLY in the Tropics. Being a natural blonde of Swedish extraction, air conditioning is my friend.)

Here are some I have snapped of West Pittston, PA, also known as "The Garden Village." It is approximately eight miles south of Scranton and eight miles north of Wilkes-Barre along the Susquehanna River. The cherry blossoms are gorgeous this time of year! It's a town with an upscale flair and a middle-class attitude. It's the type of town where people still wave to you from their front porches, exchange recipes, and embrace you at the annual riverfront cherry blossom festival. If I weren't hellbent on living in a downtown loft in Scranton in the upcoming years, West Pittston would be my first choice for relocation---then again, anywhere would be better than this sterile commuter cul-de-sac. BLECH! West Pittston is also a bit of an oxy-moron; it's one of the few communities in the region that is dominated by Republicans, yet is also one of the most socially-Liberal as well.
