Hi, I would like to hear from anyone who has moved from a state or area because they simply did not enjoy living there. Maybe you lived in the area all your life and needed a change, or perhaps you moved to an area with certain expectations only to find that state completely different. One last thing, do you like the new area you eventually moved to? Did moving from an area you didn't like to an area you do make a big difference in your life? Thanks in advance for your replies, lil red

I've never liked Georgia with it's kudzu and red clay and lived there most of my life. I now live in Florida and love it. There's always something to do and plenty of beaches or hiking trails. Along with the usual entertainment and theme park options.

Nope. I've lived all over the world and it never got to a point that I up and moved because I hated it. Sure sometimes I'd get irritated at certaina aspects but I always look on the bright side.

I will soon move out from VA. VA is too slow for me. Also there are so many restrictions here and so many rules it's crazy. Can you believe you would get a ticket if you curse at the Beach? I'm like wow..

I liked every place I lived in at the time I lived in them but some were or would be a mismatch for different phases of my life.

For example, the last suburban town I lived in, in Maryland, was a perfectly fine place for me to live when I was still in the workforce but was not a good match for me in retirement because there just wasn't enough to do there in retirement. The town on Long Island, that I lived in when I was married was just fine at that time of my life but was not good for me when I was divorced and looking to advance in my job, so I moved. Nothing wrong with any of the towns. I changed.
