FL will do great because since it's largest industry is the tourist industry, once anyone starts feeling the recovery of the recession they will start going back to there anual vacation trips.

NJ, MD, WA, DE, and MA will become the powerhouses and will lead the economy. States like Florida and other sunbelt states without diversified economies will continue to see a drop. Overall the Northeast will be the leader in the new economy.

Massachusetts, Washington, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey Are Top Five States Advancing Toward New Economy, Says | Reuters

keep dreaming!

the sunbelt boomed then had its bust but it will be back on it's feet again.

the north really didn't have a boom or a bust so I tink it will just stay stagnant as it was.

No need to dream, the reality is that the sunbelt in particular Florida boomed with out of state money and bogus loans. The new economy will be completely different and these states that crashed will have an extremely hard time recovering as their economies are not strong and are dominated by low-wage work. Now there are sunbelt cities that will continue to boom and among those are Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, and Charlotte. But Florida is a bust and will continue to be so, especially as retirees are increasingly choosing other locations to retire. The Northeast states will continue to be among the richest states and their excellent infrastructure will continue to be their strength.
