Ok, western states. Texas does have 80 mph zones west of Midland/Odessa, but I will discount that.

hmmmm.....the urge to CHEAT OVERWHELMS ME............. But I won't

65, California cant be right, but I also know that most of the cities freeway systems are posted 65. hmmmm. I will leave one of my answers as California. Seems like I remember on a trip from Medford to Portland OR that the limits were only 65. So Oregon is my other guess.

Wyoming, Utah, or Arizona on the 80 side. And without cheating.....

(this one is killing me....answer it quick before I explode...ha ha ha ha ha ha)

haha don't explode! 'cause you are getting closer. One of your three 80mph guesses is correct, along with Texas. And your 65mph guess is also half right. No google!!!

"veins popping out in head, stamping feet on floor like a child"....lol)

Wyoming, I am standing by. (flipping a quarter......) colorado. For the 80 piece, altho it pains me, because I am not sure (HOLDING ARM BACK TO KEEP FROM GRABBING RAND)

Sticking with Oregon on 65, and punting with Idaho. (ARM TWITCHING UNCONTROLABLY)

Hopefully, your commuter friends on the DFW freeways survived.

Minor hint: I said I didn't include Hawaii as a western state.

They survived, everyone was fairly calm after a car chase that lasted two hours and covered half of the east side of DFW. And by the time I left the office, there was no way to get above 50 until I got into the Tarrant county suburbs.

OK, someone, ANYONE, guess on this part of the thread. Also go back and look at the question regarding the city with only one primary interstate, go back a page or two. A few people tried, but it never went anywhere after my near breakdown on this part of the thread....

All three of my questions have not been answered completely. My questions have multiple answers, and a couple of you have hit "partial" answers. To repeat:

1. What two western states maintain a 65 mh speed limit, where most others are 70+?

2. What two states havs sections that allow 80mph?

3 What state had no daytime speed limit in the late 90's? (Already answered correctly)

I would be most impressed with answers that were not googled/binged, etc.)!

Process of elimination working here. If you are not counting Hawaii, are you counting Alaska.
