If you buy the carton of 200 empty filters and plug them with a $14 one pound bag of smooth cigar tobacco, smoking can be cheap anywhere in this country!

I can put 3 packs together in less than a half-hour, $1.25-$1.50 a pack! Been doing it for 10 years and laughing at the cigarette prices at the stores and places elsewhere in this country where I've traveled!

I brought my own cigarettes on a visit to NYC, where I saw cigarettes at $10 a pack. Better not run out there!

We always used to hold off and buy our cigarettes to Indiana when buying cigarettes, I don't know if the tax laws have since changed. I know that when I lived in Florida I could pick up a pack of Marlboro Lights for under 4 or 5 dollars and now they are 7 bucks.

I am not going to search it, but your best bet is to just check and see which state is taxed the most. Also, there isn't going to be many places more expensive than an overpriced place like NY

Skipped the rest of this thread after I read this- it was a big "huh"? I've smoked pot on the street here and nobody has bothered me. Smoking is still allowed in bars, restaurants, etc.

LA has some of the lowest cigarette taxes in the nation. Not sure how the actual prices compare though.

Well New York is known for having ridiculously high taxes on everything! Which is why people are heading south!

For you smokers out there, have you ever done the math on how much money you would save if you quit smoking? If not, you would be shocked!! Especially when you figure it per year.

The Creek Indian Smoke Shop - I-65 exit 57 (across from Wind Creek Casino). Cheapest cigarettes in my area, according to smokers.

Just be careful about ordering cigs online. A friends father got a tax bill for Hundreds of dollars because the feds found out he was purchasing them online tax-free. You are technically supposed to pay the taxes for each state they pass through en route to you... I dont think this happens often but just be aware.

When my mother in law lived in Florida, we could drive to Georgia and get her smokes at state line truck stops for about half the Florida price, but that was 15 years ago.

Just an FYI...cigs in Ms are anywhere from 3.50 to 6 bucks...I smoke Marlboros and they are under 6 dollars but Marlboro special blend runs around 4 dollars a pack... I was paying almost 8 bucks a pack in Ma.
