you can't rate a city from a computer screen, you have to go there.

wow, the detroit skyline definiently does not suck. I actually think it is quite good. LA does not 'blow detroit away'. look at the population factor! Yet, the detroit skyline has a pretty big skyline and LA is mini for its size. I will agree LA does win, but detroit doesn't follow long after it

ok i'm sorry but you cant throw Detroit in between heavyweights such as NYC, Chicago, Houston and about 20 other cities lol. I've been to Detroit, I've seen the skyline and I've been through Downtown, Detroit has to be the worst major (if its still "major") city in the country. I'm sorry but you know its true. I'm not saying that Houston is the best city or anything, but when you come to Houston you know your in a world class city, but when you go to Detroit you gotta lock your doors and hide your wallet and phone. Detroit is declining very fast, i just cant see it comeback when you have toyota and honda selling the most cars. But you guys do have a nice airport, i was impressed with that, lol.

An extreme telephoto. Must have been taken from over the Pacific Ocean so it's hard to believe from this angle that you can fit Manhatten between those two city centers, but you can.

Houston Is NOT a world class city. Im not sure where that idea came from. the only world class cities in the us + canada are NY, LA, toronto, and sometimes people consider chicago. But one thing, Im pretty sure you must lock your doors in Houston. it isn't that safe

It is declining fast, but I can definently see it making a comeback. just because one company (important to) detroit isn't doing as well, doesn't mean the entire city will suffer. I believe detroit will make a comeback - look at baltimore, the populaltion of the city is finally stable and about to grow - many things have been done to the city and people are actually going there for fun and people enjoy it. I think that detroit can do the same

thats exactly why I didn't put those cities on this poll-I knew they would win hands down and there would be no competition

Seattle and Vancouver have nice skylines. Seattle for height and Vancouver for expanse.
