which city has the best skyline/downtown (to live in, moving to)

im purposely not putting chicago and new york becasue they win every poll, hands down. i want to see the feelings people have for other cities

How could you possibly omit Philadelphia from this poll? Have you ever been to center city? Our skyline (especially the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, which was modeled after the Champs Elysees) is breathtaking.

Out of the choices, Atlanta wins. It arguably has the most distinctive and unique skyline in the country, yet it's also somewhat odd. But in a good way.

Detroit's is pleasing, although not overly large. Shame about the rest of the inner city though. YUCK!

Denver is pretty nice too, once again w/o being overly large or small. Works for me!

Vancouver's is arguably the largest of these, but its kinda boring (minus the mountains).

Atlanta's is ok, but its kind of a hodge-podge of strange designs, none of which are really eye-pleasing, same goes for Nashville.

Hmmm... weird list. I mean I understand the reason for leaving NYC and Chicago out, but after those two, some of the big followers aren't here.

I think those four would rank higher than many of the ones on this list. But sticking with the ones on the list I think I'd go with Miami.

...but with the important caveat that a pretty or big skyline does NOT a "good downtown" make.

That's what's great about Philly, we have a great skyline and a great downtown.

sorry about the cities i left out. the main reason i did this is because my sister is thinking of moving out of l.a. i put one's up that she is considering moving to because she likes to live in a city with a very lively downtown. i added a couple of my own favorites, but cities like philly just didn't appeal to us.

I would have voted for Chicago and New York had they been there, but since they weren't, I voted for Boston and San Francisco.
