Do a lot of residents in your town decorate their homes for Halloween? I heard on the radio this morn, they are discussing Halloween topics this wk, that 2 out of every 3 homes in the U.S. decorate the outside of their homes for Halloween. Have you noticed your neighboors decorating for Halloween, whether it be just a carved pumpkin outside, a string of lights, or an all out haunted house look? I was curious because this definetly does not apply to Southeast Florida, where most ppl, for whatever reason, don't do any decorating for Halloween.
I live in a rural area and I wouldn't say a LOT are decorated, but every year there are more and more. And I don't mean they have a jack-o-lantern or two, I mean they have inflatables, lights, things hanging from trees, dioramas, music, motion activated junk, live action plays, and I swear a couple are really trying to build Frankenstein's monster.
This "holiday" seems to be going the way of Christmas...
I wouldn't say two out of three here in suburban Denver, but yes, many people do some decorating. When there were more little kids in this neighborhood, it was way more decorated.

Agreed. The massive commercialization has really taken the joy out of sacrificing animals to Odin and Mephistopheles, which is the true reason for the season.
