Where I live, I'm about 30-40 minutes from the nearest beach. I've got Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Big Bear, San Diego, and Tijuana within 2 hours from me. San Luis Obispo is 4 hours away. Phoenix and Vegas are both about 5 hours away too.

within 2ish to 5ish hours from omaha we can do Kansas City, Tulsa, Minneapolis/St. Paul, anywhere in iowa (though i have no idea why one would EVER want to do that), and Chicago or St. Louis if you're really trucking. you'll notice this isn't a huge list; probably why Omaha has alot for the size it is. Still, we go to Chicago to get our 'bigger city thrills'.

The Ozarks, Indy, Des Moines, Chicago, Kansas City, Memphis, Nashville, Cincinnati, Louisville. 6 to just over 6 hours allows you to throw in Columbus, Milwaukee, Des Moines, and Omaha, as well as Tulsa.

Same thing here. Anybody who lives in the Midwest understands that Chicago is where the biggest party is at...clearly Omaha and St. Louis figured that one out awhile ago.

Within 2 Hours (maybe a hair more for DC) NYC, Baltimore, DC, Beaches (NY to MD), Mountains, Chesepeake

Numerous unbelievable small towns and areas like Annapolis, New Hope, Gettysburg, Hudson Valley and far too many historical sites and parks to name from the revolution to the civil war

Yep Philly is a great city to be based in if you like to travel. Within a days drive you can be in South Carolina (maybe Georgia) or up to Montreal.

I live in Allentown, PA.

Within a 2 hour drive I can be in NYC, DC, Jersey shore and since I love to study the Civil War I can easily be in Gettysburg.

Within a 5 hour drive I can be in RI at the seashore or fairly close to Boston by that point.

As I recall, KC is about 6 hours from Minneapolis, 2.5 hours from Omaha, 3 hours from Des Moines, 3 hours from STL, and not too far from Tulsa or OKC.
