hey, I'm wondering where I could buy a very cheap house (let's say $15k) in southern US so I wouldn't have to pay for heating, and with low taxes... so that I would have to worry only about what to eat And it has to be a remote place from noise and car fumes...

I sold my mom's place in Winterhaven Fl fully furnished and equiped for $10,000. It was a real nice 60 by 12 3 bedroom trailer, 2 bathrooms and a 20 by 40 florida room attached. It cost $200 a month for the land and the taxes. Cheep living for sure.

It used to be South Carolina but now i would say South Florida, particularly if you will accept a condo or Co-Op and be prepared to keep it for the rest of your life.

Why does it cost so much to live where you live now? Have you ever thought about it?

There are always lots of them for sale around there. The old snowbirds die and their families just want to get rid of the places. If a hurricane had destroyed the place I would have goT $25,000. That was it's insurance value. The trailer park was beautiful. Big lots, great neighbours and friends. It's the Cypress gardens trailer park. Winterhaven Florida.
