I want to help him get a better education, because I don't want him to have to quit school at age 16, because he gets failing grades, and he obviously doesn't get the material taught at a regular public school. I'm willing to move anywhere (well where crime is low, and there is lot to do) in the U.S., he's 13, and I'm 18.

I know in NY they can be in school until age 25 or something. My mom works with Special Ed students and can tell you more. You can message her here on city-data, TANaples. She's working in Special ed in Florida now, and she says they aren't nearly as supportive of them as they were in NY. And i'm speaking from experience, since I grew up with some disabilities. I wouldn't have made it this far in life had I not gone to a good school on Long Island.

Also, there's a reason why our school taxes are some of the highest in the country--because of the amount of support each student gets. If you can afford it, it's worth it.
