How on earth do the above statistics back up your experience? I believe you that you didn't see many Asians and that you didn't think you saw many "Hispanics" (though many of the white and some of the black people you saw could have been), but you could have visited a part of town that doesn't have a high concentration of those groups. The statistics tell it like it is. Next time you visit Atlanta, drive down Buford Highway and your experience will be very different.
Both of those combined is only 722,967

The Atlanta population is roughly 5.7 Million.

Therefore, the Atlanta metro population of Asains and Hispanics combined is around 12.5%, which is small.

Are my numbers wrong? I just estimated.

They were there went I was their last. I was there in Feb of 08.

The huge Buckhead nightlife area was not there, but I still went out in a bar near Lenox mall.

I don't remember the name of the bar, but it had a huge azz water fountain in the middle of it with a pizza shop on the second floor.

This just gwinnett by itself

In 2008, 50.3% the population was made up of White non-Hispanic, 22.0% Black, and 18% Hispanic or Latino of any race. In 2007, the median income for a household in the county was $64,005. 27% of the businesses in Gwinnett County are minority owned. The Asian population increased 77% to 81,289 since 2000 and now makes up 14% of the population.[5] The Latino population increased from 64,137 in 2000 to 132,123 in 2007 — a 106 percent increase. The county ranks 25th in the nation in total Hispanic population increase. In 2000, Latinos comprised 11 percent of the county’s population. In 2007, it was 17 percent.[6]

That info comes from here:
Gwinnett County, Georgia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So, assuming these figures are accurate, out of the roughly 800,000 people 28% of the people are not white or black, which translates to roughly 224,000 people. I would consider that pretty diverse...

I would not worry about the Hispanic population. They are growing at an amazing rate nationwide. Those number will continue to increase rapidly.
