I voted San Diego and it's not close imo and it has 3 times more votes that the 2nd place SF, which I would have voted 2nd also. I'm a little surprised Miami doesn't have more votes and absolutely shocked that Minneapolis has 10% of the votes....are you kidding me, ya'll like -30 in January and humidity in the summer?

From what I understand parts of New Mexico have a strong four season climate but slightly warmer and sunnier winters than the Northeast-I think this is my ideal.

Although, I would still like to try living in a tropical climate for an extended period of time.

FWIW, Naples, FL is the prettiest, safest, and cleanest city on the mainland U.S. with a tropical climate, assuming that Hawaii is not an option.

That is very good to know.

I wouldn't be opposed to living in a new country though or even Puerto Rico.

The most ideal climates, for the majority of the population, are probably along the West Coast..basically, avoidance of the extremes..

FAIAP, I would avoid Puerto Rico, seeing how it's a dirty, impoverished, crime-ridden third-world country.

Hawaii is a much better alternative to PR, as it's much prettier, safer, cleaner, and more upscale. Also, HI has better weather than PR, and everyone there speaks English.

Ehh, to each their own. I loved PR. Hawaii seems amazing of course but it is also expensive and isolated compared to PR.

I think that this is an odd poll. First of all, New Orleans and Miami don't have that MUCH of a difference in weather, why are they two separate options?

Why is Phoenix/Las Vegas not an option? Their climates are fairly unique and many people like the arid climate, why is it not represented?

I'd bet money that if Honolulu was included on this poll it would outrank San Diego. But with these choices, I'm not surprised that San Diego is winning.

Of the options given, Minneapolis. Of all major US cities, Anchorage, Alaska. Of any city, not location, in the world, that's a tough choice, but I'd choose St John's, Canada, for mild summers, cold (but not extremely cold) winters, and plentiful snowfall.
