I checked the temp on my phone Saturday night and it was colder in Tucson than it was in NYC. We're getting rain tonight and snow in the higher elevations.

Winter definitely just smacked the country from west to east.

I was starting to think that winter was never going to come, now it's been below average temperatures (It's not getting out of 30s a couple days this week).. that's type January

Im gonna enjoy the 3-4 months I get of cold weather. The other 8-9 months of the year I think is too warm. LOL

I like to be cool, dry, crisp and energetic, which is exactly what I get in winter time. But yeah, the whole country is cold right now. Most of the country is gonna get hit by a big storm today and tomorrow. We're expecting our first big snow of the year here in Chicagoland, maybe 6" tomorrow!

It was the coldest day of 2009 today at 53F [54F downtown LA] and in low 40's at midnight. If the wind dies down tonight could easily drop near freezing in places.
