Most definitely.

Its all due to govt spending-ironically during the Bush Administration. DC has always been wealthy due to the high concentration of highly skilled workers who demand higher pay, and that's understandable-but the Fed went on a spending spree during the Administration of GWB that propelled DCs income level past the Bay Area's.

If we break down the CSAs into Individual MSAs, San Jose beats DC as 1st(barely)
