If you were entitled to have a beer at lunch, do you mean that by law you would have to be fired for not having one?

I always laugh at the "If two trains or cars come to a stop, neither shall proceed until the other has passed".

I don't remember where I read this but there was a law that once said when a woman is driving into town, her husband must fire a round into the air to warn the townspeople.

When I was vacationing in Philadelphia in March, I decided to go to a liquor store to buy a six-pack of beer. Can't do! Not even at the nearest convenience store.

You must travel to the nearest beer dispensary to buy it.

How weird is that!

Arkansas has a lot of dry counties, but many of them are surrounded by wet counties. I lived in one a few years ago. Every Friday afternoon there would be a line of cars leaving the county, drive 5 miles cross the county line and stop at their choice of 2 liquor stores. Load up, drive back to the dry county and drink away. Senseless.......

You can get a six-pack to go at many bars. You should have posed to CD; we would have helped you out!

Not exactly a state law - but I guess it could fit into this thread:

I have a friend who has told me of a small town in North Carolina where the speed limit through the whole town is 15 mph except the school zone where it is 20 mph.

Only town where you can speed up to go through the school zone

Theirs many laws that states made a long time ago for whatever reasons at that time in their history.

Theirs a law in Florida that made it illegal to have sex with a pinecone!

I just wonder the situation to make that law?
