Really???
You better tell those nearly 50,000 students and faculty in East Lansing.

#5, Delaware annexes New Jersey. Delaware immediately enacts a law banning tanning booths and hairgel.
Good ideas except the FL Gulf Coast has little in common with the South Florida metro.

#6: Tampa/Orlando and SW Florida get one state, the South Florida metro, Florida Keys and Atlantic Coast get another.

I say we should have a boundary that shifts annually, based on the rate of Orange groves per county.

No property or sales taxes - New Long Island's state constitution will only allow taxation of horn-blowing and loud talking.

I believe I would just separate the North from the South (kinda like it used to be) and let them handle their own affairs. I would be living in the South, that's for sure.

And I would definitely get rid of Washington DC, LOL

I can't think of a thing to do to it. My son used to do things like this in fourth grade gifted and talented class. So you gifted fourth graders, just have fun and imagine away.

He also put together his own country with outlines of the country and people and industry choices.

Frankly, I don't have enough time to write up ten ideas but I do love love love maps and geography and have always loved to drive and explore interstates and back highways. I like your idea that South Florida should be seperate but I think it should encompass St. Lucie Co. on down, but Miami should be the capital. Why did you choose West Palm Bch? Lastly, I always thought Canada's New Brunswick should be part of the U.S. and they should take Alaska. Only because of symetry, not because I don't like Alaska. Actually, I think Alaska is our greatest national treasure.

Well, I will be a fourth grader with you. It might be fun.

I would take the entire United States population and redistribute it to all the states using quotas as a way to integrate all the races. Just spread everybody out and let them learn how to live in their new environment. It would be interesting to see how people's opinions would change with their new homes. It would just be too much of a hassel to change the state border lines, but people can move easily. In the United States the average person moves every three years. Just keep redistributing every three years to mix up the people as the school busing does for the Charlotte area. I can't wait to hear the grumbling, but really intelligent people will adjust and the less intelligent will fuss and complain.

JustCallMeTC's map

Still bitter about the 2004 election? Relax, the People's Republic of the United Commonwealth of Soviet Socialist Oblasts of Canada won the last couple of elections.
