You better tell those nearly 50,000 students and faculty in East Lansing.
may the Red Cedar overflow in my basement, I get pelted by Flint Stones, have green paint poured over my head, have to write "first landgrant school in the nation" on the blackboard a 1000 times, and Sparty bite me in the ass.

Forgive me: there is a world beyond Schembechler and Hayes.

don't worry, J'amie. MSU is an outstanding university (and easily one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation). And in many states, it would far exceed the best public university in state. Michigan is one of those few states which have two such quality flagship public institutions.

Here's my ten.

1) Berrien and Cass counties in Michigan become part of Indiana
2) Toledo and the rest of Lucas County, Ohio becomes part of Michigan
3) The Ohio State's campus is replaced by beautiful Lake Schembechler
4) Cincinnati and the Southern Ohio border counties become part of Kentucky
5) The lower thirds of Indiana and Illinois join Kentucky
6) The southern third of Missouri joins Arkansas
7) The northern thirds of California and Nevada become part of Oregon
8) DC, Northern Virginia, and Southern Maryland combine into the state of Columbia
9) Chicago and its suburbs become the State of Chicago, separating from Illinois and Indiana
10) Western New York, the West Virginia Panhandle, and Western Pennsylvania join Ohio
