Really? What I read said it was like 99% white.

Although a non-white person I think could maybe be "hick" I tried to avoid non-white towns. Huron, California and Mecca, California have far lower rates of education than any town I picked but I avoided them as they're 95%+ Hispanic.

Let's first label a highly hick state, then we'll narrow down to city, let's stay in the Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma REGION?

I think starting with NY would work also. Even if you subtracted the population of NYC and add a few more million to that number you would still have more people living in the sticks than any of those states you mentioned.

I've been through many towns in Upstate New York that many would consider "Hick towns". The South is FAR from having the lock on having towns people would call hick. Every state has them. I lived in Maine for almost 20 years and traveled through the entire Northeast while there. Every single state in the Northeast has their fair share of hick towns.

Yeah, but not nearly as much as he described This is coming from a person whose town has a population less than 10 people.

I'm not sure of the name but it has to be where these folks live !
