I'll nominate Birmingham, decent bar scene, but no pro sports team. People here are obsessed with college football mainly Bama and Auburn. I would love to have the NFL or NBA here, but im in small minority.

I'd say Miami fits the bill here. Aside from the Dolphins, they seem to be completely apathetic when it comes to sports.
