So it's Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial start of the summer(tourist)season and I'm already starting to see signs of it around here. With all of the confused, slow driving, out of state visitors already clogging the roads here. How is it and how do you predict your area will be this summer?
Also what is your vote for the most visited state?

Yup. Already crazy in town with the tourists, and the boat marina opened about a week ago and today was a huge boating day on the lake. Barely room to park another boat trailer at the launch area....

Because of New York City NY state must be the most visited. I just read that due to the decreased value of the U.S. dollar tourism in NYC will be at an all time high.

Haven't we all? That brings the tally to about a half-dozen current or past Pittstonians on this forum. For a town of 7,700 people, that's not too shabby!

It's the opposite down here, winter is the big tourist season instead of summer. All the snowbirds usually leave by April and I always throw a party to celebrate. No more waiting behind the old ladies at the check-out counters who pull out their purses and start digging for loose change, no more getting stuck behind grandpa's Cadillac on the 101, and no more trying to dodge old folks at the mall.
