Depends on the industry, but some of the cities (or metro areas since so many jobs now are concentrated in the suburbs nowadays) that tend to be doing very well economically with low unemployment rates are: DC, Raleigh/Durham, Charlotte, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas, San Antonio, Las Vegas and Houston.

I think it completely depends on the particular industry/line of work. I doubt there is any one city that is the best for all fields.

Great list. Though no area will have tons of jobs in every profession, these areas seem to have over-all strong economies.
