Yes, in most cases if I saw wild stallions on a coastal island, I'd swear someone spiked my Pepsi or something .

But from what I remember, these stallions are descendents from spanish stallions settlers brought with them in the late 1500's. Even though the colony died off (refered to here as "The Lost Colony" because the settlers seemed to just disappear), the horses have survived all of these years. Just a little NC history!

Colorado (Great scenery and Denver is a great, great city and very outdoorsy populous compared to most other states it seems also lots of great college towns)
Ohio (Lots of medium sized cities) Cleveland and Cincinnati with more then 2 million in their metropolitan areas, Columbus with nearly 2 million and a huge university and great urban high density neighborhoods, Dayton metro with nearly a million although its obviously its seen better days and also Toledo and Dayton which are both medium-sized metropolitan areas. Not only that but close proximity to Louisville, Indianapolis (not a plus in my book), Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Pittsburgh and Buffalo all with-in a short drive from Ohio's borders. Not only that but Ohio has a much lower housing values then most big states so they have urban amenities on the cheap.

My Favorite: WISCOSIN (after all Madison & La Crosse are there)
Second Favorite: COLORADO/UTAH (tie--both have awesome variety of terrain)
Third Favorite: SOUTH DAKOTA (even though the eastern 2/3 is flat and boring, the Black Hills and Badlands are stunning!)

Least Favorite: IOWA (I can only take so many cornfields!!)
