California....

1) The scenery is so beautiful. It's everywhere you look.
2) The weather can't be beat.
3) Variety is the spice of life. (that it has)
4) Activities, so much to do. It's endless.
5) You got the ocean, the mountains, the rivers, the lakes, the redwoods and the desert.
6) You can go water skiing on day, surfing the next and then go snow skiing to top it off.

All of them excluding Florida.

I haven't yet visited a state I'd consider my favorite, but based purely on stories I've read and pictures I've seen I think my favorite could potentially be either Maine, Oregon, or Vermont.

Louisiana is pretty cool. It's got its drawbacks, like Blanco and thunderstorms, but gas is alot cheaper there than most places and they take alot of care in preserving historic things. You can get a huge nice house too for little of nothing if you look in some rural areas.

1. California - diversity of people, landscape, ideas and languages. And, of course, the weather.
2. TIED: Oregon/Washington - natural beauty, weather.
3. Utah - nature/outdoors, skiing, friendly & relaxed people.

North Carolina.

Very beautiful coastal areas. There's an island on the coast that has wild stallions running free. 'Really breath-taking.

Lovely green mountains. The Blue Ridge Pkwy. is one of the most stunning drives in the nation.

A great variety of metros and small towns spread throughout the state with high qualities of life.

Wonderful people.
