Are there alot of eccentric people in your town (people you would be able to recognize due to odd behaviors or traits or fashion)
Glencoe IL Not at all. very much people running through the motions of life to try to get back to a rich suburb
Chicago there are eccentric odd people but you have to search a bit more than say LA or SF

Here in Denver metro, we're all trying to find ourselves, while simultaneously shunning any possible friends, all while trying to maintain our images.

It's hard work.

I wouldn't say Denver is all that diverse personality-wise. It's rare if somebody impresses me with one.

Diversity of personalities is the definition of Portland. Actually, you can't recognize anyone because they're all slightly or very or extremely odd.

Kansas City has a lot of pretty weird people. But for the most part, everyone is shoe horned into following the doctrine of either the Democrats or Republicans. Thus, you don't find a diversity of personality or more importantly people that have social and political views or interests that are not part of the main stream culture. Mostly they all walk, talk, look, think and act alike.
