Oy, you think DeKalb sounds unpleasant, imaging having to live there for 3 years.
Bloomington, IL/IN/MN
Urbana, IL
Whitewater, WI
Loves Park, IL
Though, in thinking of the midwest...does anyone else think that the good poeple of Iowa City (uh, IA) could have picked a bit more of an interesting name? It's a nice place, but it just sounds boring.

LOL
I did live near DeKalb (Sycamore) for a few years. I liked Sycamore, hated DeKalb. Then again I hate college towns....

I got a degree out of it, so can't really complain. I didn't live in the student ghetto at least, but closer to uh, superwalmart.
Sycamore is a pleasant name and a pleasant town.

Twin Falls, ID. Would go through there on my way up to Portland, OR. Not much of a town, but the falls are beautiful!
Have been through Truth or Consequences, NM, got my hair cut at the small salon on the main street there. She did a good job too!!
