/waiting for all of the Tennessee smugness to arrive.

Moving to Texas soon, but I certainly feel Michigan has something special about it.

I guess I'm the odd one out. I see the beauty in every state.
Just different scenery.

I definitely live in God's country- the Seattle, Washington area. The dramatic mountain ranges, volcanoes, pine forests, lakes, and the Puget Sound all in one small area make for just an amazing natural setting. Unparalleled anywhere else. I just moved here 4 months ago, so I am still in "awe" every day when I drive to work and see all of these things.

You know here at home we sing a little song written by John Denver!

"Almost Heavan, West Virginia" ---- I think that puts West "BY GOD" Virginia in play for the title of god's country lol

Well this Tennessean felt closer to god at the hilltop park in Astoria Oregon. Water in 3 directions, snow capped mountains in the distance, gentle breeze blowing....

There was a trailhead in Olympia nation park as well.

Closer to home .... the Blue Ridge parkway has its moments.

What is wrong with Tennessee??? One of the prettiest places around, and the nicest people. You say you like Detroit Michigan, why are you not moving there instead of Texas. Lots of cheap houses in Detroit.

Have you ever been to Tennessee? I think it's the most scenic state east of the Mississippi, along with North Carolina. If I lived there I would be proud to call it home too.

East TN is gorgeous, especially in spring.
